A free resume builder that does not ask you to pay at the download. Here is who made it and why.
Why this exists
Almost every "free" resume builder is free right up to the moment it matters. You pick a template, you spend forty minutes writing, you get the layout looking right — and then the download button asks for a card. Some charge a subscription. Some stamp a watermark across your work unless you pay. Some make you create an account before you can see anything at all.
That pattern is not an accident; it works, because by then you have invested the effort and the alternative is starting over somewhere else. This site exists because that is a bad way to treat someone who is looking for work.
So: the builder is free, the templates are free, and the PDF downloads with no account, no watermark and no payment step. That is the whole proposition.
Your resume never leaves your device
Everything you type stays in your browser. There is no account, no server-side copy, and no upload. Most competitors require an account and then hold your full employment history on their servers — and your work history is genuinely sensitive information.
This is not a promise you have to take on faith. The privacy policy explains how to verify it yourself with your browser's developer tools open.
Who is behind it
Vitor Aguiar, a software developer based in Portugal. One person, not a company.
I am not a recruiter and I do not claim to be. What I can tell you honestly is how the tool works, what an applicant tracking system does and does not read, and which template choices cause real parsing problems — because those are engineering questions, and I have tested them. Where this site gives advice about writing, it says where that advice comes from. The editorial policy sets out how the content is produced and reviewed.
How it pays for itself
Right now it does not — it costs about the price of a domain name each year, and I cover that.
The intention is to carry advertising on the written guides, which is the ordinary way a free tool stays free. Two commitments about that, written down here so they can be held against me: no advertising inside the editing surface, and never a payment step between you and your finished resume.
What is coming
An ATS checker that tells you what a parser actually extracts from your resume. A cover letter builder. Worked examples for specific roles and situations — a first job with no experience, a career change, returning to work after time away. All free, all built the same way.
